The problem, however, is the boxy American format. It is not an organic rectangle. As a result, the figures do not fall onto a dynamic proportional grid. This European system is naturally pleasing to the eye. The American system is too inert. Moreover, I asked the models to convey a classical calm expression. A relaxed face with a thoughtful attitude, but I think they're showing their psychological anxiety instead. The female figure, my former manager, thought she should hide her face. I asked her to push back into space, like Ariadne in Ariadne and Bacchus in Titian's masterpiece.

Hesphaestus, Greek god of fire, discovers his wife, Aphrodite, Greek goddess of love, is having an affair in his bed with Ares, Greek god of war. As a result, Hesphaestus booby-traps his wedding bed with brass springs. Aphrodite and Ares become ensnared in the trap. Aphrodite likes it. Ares is not at ease with it.
