IDENTITY CRISIS IN L.A. 75" x 51". Oil on canvas. 2017.The image was created towards the end of the first shoot in the penthouse bedroom of the Mondrian, L.A. The shoot was a failure, and a breathtaking sense of identity loss had washed itself all over the room. Between the awkward cramped space created by the greed of over-used design, and the cost of time at $450 per hour, this shot depicts a total meltdown at the magnitude of Icarus.

WEST HOLLYWOOD APHRODITE. 241 cm x 147 cm. Oil on canvas. 2017. Appropriation of Kneeling Aphrodite flanking the entrance to Casa Casaurina, Miami Beach, Florida. The bronze sculpture was created by Vuc Vuchinich in 1928, and marks the spot of the assassination of Giani Versace, July 15, 1997. This painting is a commemoration of that shifty culture that made Miami Beach a magical place in the 1990's. It relates to the Mondrian, in West Hollywood, because of Ian Schrager's connection between Miami Beach and the Mondrian in West Hollywood. It's a symbol of death, love, voyeurism, and anchors itself in The Odyssey, by Homer, c. 1500 b.c. While Artemus was bathing in the woods, and surrounded by her nymphs washing her hair, Acteon was spying on her as she was bathing. He was accompanied by his hounds. As a result, the goddess turned Acteon into a stag. This resulted in him being hunted and devoured by his own dogs. This painting transcends all of that.

COGNITIVE DISTORTIONS. 50" x 38". Oil on canvas. 2017. Self portrait in front of mirror. The figure's missing left arm is actually the figure's right arm, but is reversed in the physics of a mirror. It is missing in this portrait because the missing arm is constantly moving. It is the painting arm, and therefore couldn't be rendered. Moreover, 300 pushups were accomplished before the form of the chest was rendered.
